Teacher: Daniela Barilà
Aims: The aim of the course is to provide students with the tools for understanding and drawing experimental strategies for the study of problems related to neoplastic transformation useful for the development of biotechnological projects
Program:The course aims to deepen the knowledge of experimental methods to study neoplastic transformation and tumor development. The focus will be in particular on the analysis of genomic instability and aberrant cell cycle control. Experimental approaches (genetic, epigenetic, molecular and cellular) to evaluate in vitro and in vivo the functionality of cell cycle, DNA damage response and senescence in normal and pathological conditions will be analyzed.
Some practical exmples on this topic will be discussed with the students to teach them how to formulate hypotheses and how to develop experimental strategies to validate them.
